MY FAVOURITE GAMES EVER 10-1

10. CRACKDOWN (XBOX 360)

It's like Grand Theft Auto... but you're a superhero! AWESOME! One of the most fun gaming experiences I've ever had. I still play it to this day. And the cell shaded look is brilliant!

9. GEARS OF WAR 2 (XBOX 360)

The first Gears of War was a good game. But it wasn't amazing. Luckily the second game kicked serious ANUS! The best graphics ever! Amazing music! And the storyline is so good compared to the last one!

8. ROCK BAND 2 (XBOX 360)

The best local multiplayer experience ever in my opinion. I love the feeling when it's a song that everyone loves, and everybody suddenly comes in with a different instrument and works together as a team to complete it. Sometimes it makes you feel like a real band. And I have become obsessed with the drums. They took over my Summer, and still rule my life now!

7. FABLE SERIES (XBOX AND XBOX 360)

Two absolutely brilliant games. I couldn't decide which one was my favourite, so I put them both. Fable 2 is absolutely stunning, but it can't beat the freshness and the charm of the original. My favourite game of 2008 was Fable 2... what an awesome experience it was.

6. ODDWORLD SERIES (PC and XBOX)

Abe's Oddysee is amazing. Abe's Exoddus is perfect. Munch's Oddysee is pretty good. Stranger's Wrath is fantastic. Nothing can ever beat the two original games, which I still complete every single year because I love them so much. The new Stranger's Wrath game is truly great though, and it infuriates me by not being available to play on the 360! AGH!!! And let's not forget that they all have the best CG cutscenes ever in a game!

5. UNCHARTED: DRAKE'S FORTUNE (PS3)

I loved it first time that I played this game, and I love it even more every time I play it after. The graphics are jaw dropping. The soundtrack is awesome. But the gameplay is spot on, and the characters and story are excellent. I can't wait for Uncharted 2. Which is actually my most anticipated game of 2009.

4. STAR WARS: KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC (XBOX)

What a game. I don't normally like turn based RPGs, but this game's storyline and presentation were so perfect that I was completely hooked. The twist at the end of the game surprised me the most ever, including film. I was so engrossed. And it took me by so much surprise. The graphics at the time were good, but the voice acting is amazing... so much dialogue. And the Star Wars music is great too... as ever.

3. HALF-LIFE 2 (PC)

Truly the most cinematic game available on the market. The graphics in 2004 were so good... and still up to today's best standards. The storyline is also great. It's the small things though that make it better than anything else. Like the character of Dog. Or the friendship with Alyx. There are just so many moments in this game that I always have to play it again to experience them one more time.

2. MASS EFFECT (XBOX 360)

This was very nearly my number one... but nothing could knock that off easily. Is Mass Effect a perfect game? No. But it does so much right that you forget all the wrongs. The combat system is so deep, its fantastic. The storyline is epic. The graphics were unbelievable, as well as the music. The moment I knew this was so good was when I accidentally made the wrong decision, and was so depressed about it, I turned off my console and played through the 3 hours again just to get one of the characters back. No other game can do that for me. Each time feels different. I may go play it again now...

1. HALO TRILOGY (XBOX and XBOX 360)

I have an obsession with Halo. Everyone that has met me knows it. I have posters. Limited editions. Figurines. Calendars. Everything. My gaming life revolves around Halo. Why? No other game has provided the pure amount of excitement and fun. The vehicles are amazing. Each game has had some of the best graphics of the generation. The best multiplayer mode ever to grace a game. Let's not forget it was Halo 1 that got me into console gaming. I think the thing that holds it together for me though is the world that Bungie has created. I have become completely involved in the universe - even reading the books because I love it so much. No game could hope to beat what Halo is to me. A lifestyle.

MY FAVOURITE GAMES EVER 25-11

Okay... so everyone that knows me will know my Number One game ever... but how about the rest? And don't expect it all to be new games... lots of oldies in there too!

Take a look... and click on any of the pictures for a bigger version!

25. DEAD SPACE (XBOX 360)

One of the few games that has genuinely scared me! I had no expectations for this game. Turned out its one of the most amazing games this year! The atmosphere and graphics were incredible. I played it at Halloween by myself alone in the house... I nearly pooed.

24. FAR CRY 2 (XBOX 360)

I think this game has my favourite graphics in a game ever. Just jaw dropping all the time. It always feels so gritty and realistic. Plus when one of my buddies was killed... it may have been one of the hardest cutscenes ever to watch in a game!

23. THE ELDER SCROLLS IV: OBLIVION (XBOX 360)

I like Fallout 3. But Oblivion is better. I think it's just from my love and swords and magic, but the world just seems more alive... and I prefer living in the Oblivion open world than I do the Fallout 3 one. It's a great game though. You should know why. Unless you lived under a rock.

22. MARIO KART WII

It's my favourite racer ever. Can't be beaten. I love the Burnout series, but its nothing to the fun of Mario Kart. Playing it in a room with three other people, all screaming at each other is the one of the most fun experiences ever.

21. GRAND THEFT AUTO IV

I did love this game. I just didn't think it was the most amazing thing ever like some people. I never did complete it. I will one day. The city is fantastic, as are the graphics and gameplay. It just didn't knock it out the park for me.

20. WORMS ARMAGEDDON

I grew up with this game, and still think its one of the most perfect pieces of programming ever. The graphics still look good today, and the humour is great. Such fun in multiplayer. I still play it. All. The. Time.

19. CRASH BANDICOOT 2 (PLAYSTATION ONE)

Crash Bandicoot has always been my favourite platformer, and this is my favourite one. I just love everything about it. The levels. The characters. The POLAR BEAR! Last year me and a friend completed it in one night! EXTREME!

18. LITTLE BIG PLANET (PS3)

One of the few games on this list from this year. LittleBigPlanet was unique. I'd never played anything like it. It's amazingly addictive and great fun though. Especially in co-op.

17. ASSASSIN'S CREED (XBOX 360)

Hyped up to be amazing - at first it wasn't as good as I had hoped. But the game has grown on me over time. I always want to play it again. And the rush of a good chase over the rooftops has yet to be bettered.

16. CALL OF DUTY 4 (XBOX 360)
I didn't think it was amazing as everyone said it would be... but... it's still an absolutely fantastic game, and one that I have played more than once! Truly feels cinematic in a way that most games can't beat.

15. RESIDENT EVIL 4 (WII)

Truly amazing game. Perfect controls. Fantastic graphics for the time. And a storyline that makes me want to poo with glee. The enhanced Wii controls just make it better. Bring on Resident Evil 5!

14. THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK: ESCAPE FROM BUTCHER BAY (XBOX)

I nearly went insane when this game wasn't made backwards compatiable with the 360. One of my favourite Xbox games ever! The best movie game adaption ever. The graphics still look good today. The voice acting was great. It really felt like you were in a movie. Can't wait for the remake coming this Spring on the 360!

13. LEGO STAR WARS: THE COMPLETE SAGA (XBOX 360)

I have an unnatural love for the Lego games. I have them all. But I think Star Wars will always be my favourite. It was so unique when it came out, and hilariously funny. And such value for money as well. Definately play it with a friend.

12. OUTCAST (PC)

Probably the only one on this list that people haven't heard of. Outcast was the first game I became completely obsessed with. The gameplay was phenonemal and the graphics were out of this world. It was simply amazing. This world you were in felt so real. The storyline is also top notch. I still play it every year.

11. BIOSHOCK (XBOX 360)

As with Call of Duty 4, I don't think this game was quite as amazing as all the hype said it was. It's still an amazing game, with some of the best graphics and sound ever. The game is built around its atmosphere, which luckily is awesome! The storyline was the best thing about the game though. Who would've ever seen that twist?

TOP 10 ADVENTURE FILMS

10. THE MASK OF ZORRO (1998) : Directed by Martin Campbell

WHY?

Action, romance, drama and lots of good fun! I feel this film has it all and is still one of my favourites to this day!

BEST MOMENT?

09. HELLBOY 2: THE GOLDEN ARMY (2008) : Directed by Guillermo del Toro

WHY?

A recent film that just made it onto the list! Fantastically fun, visually amazing film... much better than the first in my opinion... and the humour running throughout it is fantastic.

BEST MOMENT?

08. DRAGONHEART (1996) : Directed by Rob Cohen

WHY?

I loved it as a kid, and still love it as an adult. The kind of Sunday family film that everyone can watch together, and everyone can like for a different reason. It's just great. And let's not forget that the CG dragon is still pretty good even by today's standards!

BEST MOMENT?

That finale! Or the big where the dragon comes over the sunset! Or! Or! Or! SO MANY!

07. A KNIGHT'S TALE (2001) : Directed by Brian Helgeland

WHY?

HEATH! I loved this film before the tragic death of Heath Ledger, its fantastic fun with a great cast and memorable moments, but now that the main actor is no longer with us... the film seems even better!!

BEST MOMENT?

06. PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MAN'S CHEST (2006) : Directed by Gore Verbinski

WHY?

I know this one may seem a little crazy, but Pirates 2 was my favourite out of the trilogy! Some people find it confusing, but I never had that problem. I think its the best visually too, with the best action scenes... and who could forget... DAVEY JONES!!!

BEST MOMENT?

05. THE MUMMY (1999) : Directed by Stephen Sommers

WHY?

To me, the closest modern thing that can be compared to Indiana Jones! It's got amazing action, ridiculously fun, amazing score, great acting, awesome CG and a really great villain! I liked The Mummy Returns too... but nothing can compare to seeing this one!!

BEST MOMENT?

The battle on the boat! Just watch that scene to see how great the film is!

04. HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX (2007) : Directed by David Yates

WHY?

It took me a while to decide which Harry Potter film to put on this list, but eventually I decided on the most recent one because it truly is the best. Order of the Phoenix was in my opinion, the worst book... yet it made the best movie! The actors are really getting good now, and the CG is getting better and better! Bring on the Half Blood Prince!

BEST MOMENT?

03. KING KONG (2005) : Directed by Peter Jackson

WHY?

I LOVE this film so much, it may not be as good as Lord of the Rings, but in terms of scope, the film is still truly epic! King Kong is still the best CG animal I've ever seen, and anything with dinosaurs is enough to excite me!

BEST MOMENT?

02. STARDUST (2007) : Directed by Matthew Vaughn

WHY?

This film very nearly made Number One on my list... that's how much I love this film. It's perfect in my eyes, not one thing I would change. Blew me away at the theatre and quickly became my favourite film of last year! Don't read this! GO WATCH IT!

BEST MOMENT?

01. INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE (1989) : Directed by Steven Spielberg

WHY?

Anyone that knows me, will know how much I love Indiana Jones... and this film was always my favourite. This is probably mostly because of Sean Connery, but everything about this film is so fun and action packed, I can always watch it and get the same AMAZING experience! I may go watch it now...
