MOVIE REVIEW : Year One


YEAR ONE

Directed by Harold Ramis

Starring Jack Black and Michael Cera

PLOT

Zed and Oh are two tribesman. Zed is a hunter and Oh is a gatherer. After being informed Zed ate from Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, he is banished from the tribe. Oh decides to go with Zed on his journey to find the end of the Earth. Along the way, they encounter Cain and Abel (David Cross and Paul Rudd), and Abraham (Hank Azaria). After, Zed and Oh notice the girls they wanted to "lay with" (Maya and Eema) from their former tribe have been enslaved, they head off on a journey to save them.

REVIEW

+ Jack Black was very good. +

+ It was also good to see Kyle Gass make a cameo as a eunech. +

+ Actually, it was all the different cameos that made the film so good. +

+ Oliver Platt as the gay high priest absolutely stole the show. +

+ It did frequently make me laugh. +

- The cameos are all good - but they pass too quickly. I wanted more. -

- The music was pants . -

- Michael Cera was awful. -

- Relies heavily on poo, fart and sex jokes. -

- It looked... cheap. -

BEST MOMENT

When the High Priest gets Michael Cera to "baste him like a chicken". Hahaha.

  1. Year One is a adventure comedy movie,about the two members who are expelled from their village.I watch year one movie from this website....This is a very funny movie....i really like this movie....
